Lucy and Ella love love love their TAG reading systems...there are special books to use with the TAG pen. The pen reads the book either by the whole page or word by word, and they can also use the pen to play games, do reading comprehension, and make the pictures make noise. We can plug the pen into our computer and track everything the girls did--it's awesome!

Discovery World
When Greg got home from work Sunday morning, we all got ready and met Grandma and Grandpa at the Milwaukee Public Market for lunch. After our yummy soups, sandwiches, and mac and cheese, we headed over to Discovery World. It was such a cool place! There was plenty for Lucy and Ella to explore, and lots more for them to grow into.

Harvest Fair
Julie and Patrick helped me take the girls to Harvest Fair at the State Fair grounds while Greg was working, and I. forgot. my. camera. What?!? So, you will have to use your imagination to see Lucy and Ella at the petting zoo, riding ponies named Flashy and Sofia, eating meatballs on a stick and apple pie from the Elegant Farmer, going down a big slide coming out of a giant piggy bank's butt, fishing for rubber fishies, doing crafts, and making a scarecrow. However, you will not have to imagine what our scarecrow looks like...here he is!
We had such a fun day...I am so grateful that Julie and Patrick were with us--I would have never been able to do it on my own!

Family Pictures at the Botanical Gardens
We attempted our own family pictures this year! We spent a gorgeous evening at the Botanical Gardens--the perfect backdrop. Lucy and Ella were surprisingly cooperative and had a great time exploring until Ella fell on the gravel path and scraped her knees pretty badly...so sad. Greg and I are very pleased with the pictures--here are some of our favorites!
