The five of us headed back out to Barthel Fruit Farm because honeycrisp apples are finally ready! We did not intend to pick our own, as the weather was pretty miserable--cold, windy, and wet--but the price difference between pick-your-own ($26/bushel) and the apples you can buy in the farm store ($60/bushel) made it worth braving the weather. We picked tons of honeycrisp and some pippins for apple pie...YUM!!!Sunday, October 4, 2009

The five of us headed back out to Barthel Fruit Farm because honeycrisp apples are finally ready! We did not intend to pick our own, as the weather was pretty miserable--cold, windy, and wet--but the price difference between pick-your-own ($26/bushel) and the apples you can buy in the farm store ($60/bushel) made it worth braving the weather. I was just wondering if you guys got back out there....so jealous! I can't seem to find anywhere around here that have pick-your-own honeycrisp. Boo.
